![]() Rendon served as the Deputy Commissioner of Programs for PPR from 2017 – 2022, where he was responsible for overseeing all programming at the City’s recreation centers and pools. Rendon is currently serving as the Deputy Managing Director for Community Services where he oversees community engagement work for the City’s Managing Director, including the City’s Community Life Improvement Program (CLIP), the Office of Immigrant Affairs and the Municipal ID program. Regarding soon-to-be Acting Commissioner Rendon, Mayor Kenney stressed, “I am confident that Orlando will offer continuity and strong leadership for the Department and will work hard to ensure our parks and recreation centers remain safe, fun, dynamic public spaces.” They are dedicated, caring, and committed professionals who I will miss very much.” The team at Parks & Rec is quite simply the best. We will share an update when the project will be finished and all equipment will be returned to its original locations. During the project, it could be loud in the facility with the equipment running, there should be little to no other effects during the process. There may be some changes to the Group X class locations as well. During this time all equipment from the strength and conditioning area and the functional training area will be moved to the basketball courts. Andrews Student Recreation & Wellness Centerīeginning on Monday, May 8 Campus Recreation will be updating the flooring in the facility.
